This Week in DragonSlayers Hockey 6/7
Some might look back at the Dragon Slayers two wins last week and would assume that they are on their normal course for excellence as usual. But experts know that trouble is brewing in Dragon Slayers front office after 8-7 and 8-5 wins respectively last week.

The Slayers were content in making Tuesday's game against the Eagles much closer than it should've been. The teams exchanged tallies in a game that eclipsed the 15 goal mark, giving the fans plenty of entertainment.

The Lewis brothers were up to their usual antics, as Steph ended his mini-slump notching 2 goals and adding an assist. Geoff meanwhile, added a goal and an assist himself.

The big offensive story of the day was forward Scott Dirienzo, who managed to have the first three-point game of his career with three assists; two of which helped captain Andrew Jones score his 4th and 5th goals of the summer.

Defense was literally absent from this game, and goaltender Chris Guyer let in more through his five-hole than an Asian hooker.

The physical-tension finally broke open in the third period, as Evan Cohen dropped the gloves and recorded the Dragon Slayers first fight of the summer.

Wednesday's game didn't turn out to be much different, as the Dragon Slayers held a 6-3 lead late in the game, but gave up two goals late to give Dragon Slayers faithful a scare. But two empty-net goals quickly ended any threat.

Defenseman Chris Carey notched the first hat-trick of the season, as he capped it off by sending an empty netter to seal the game.

THIS WEEK:

As of now, Wednesday's 1040 game in Marlborough is cancelled due to the Bruins game.

Tuesdays game in Foxboro will see a lot of changes in the Dragon Slayers lineup.

Dragon Slayers Fry Up the Blue Nuggets 11-5
The Marlborough Sports Center was the scene of the crime for what proved to be a massacre this past Wednesday night. The Dragon Slayers were up to their old tricks again, flexing their offensive muscles and exploding for eleven goals.

Dragon Slayer red-head Justin Quinn stayed "red hot" (no pun intended) and added 2 goals and an assist.

Quinn (Braintree, MA) notched the games first tally, and soon after forward Scott Dirienzo (Franklin, MA) popped in his 2nd of the season. Goaltender Chris Guy reeked of alcohol and surrendered two first period goals, as the teams stood even after the 1st period.

The not-so-defensive tandem of Chris Carey (LebronJames, MA) and Evan Cohen (Somewhere in Mexico) led the team in give-aways, but Carey responded by going end-to-end to score his first goal of the season, popping his Dragon Slayers cherry.

"Thats not the only cherry I'm going to pop tonight," declared Carey, who's plus/minus improved to negative-29 on the season.

Seasoned veteran Matthew Arsenault added his first three goals of the season, and Quinn scored his second of the game, as the Dragon Slayers started to pull away. They led 7-4 after two.

Captain Andrew Jones finally got back on the board scoring two goals in one shift, and shoved this game out of control for the Blue Nuggets.

Erik Paulitzky poured salt in the wounds of the Blue Nuggets, notching his first goal of the young season.

Bob Kaloustian rounded out the scoring gang-bang for the Dragon Slayers as they completed the 11-5 victory and improved to 3-0 on the season.

Dragon Slayers Face 2-time Defending Champs Nordiques
The Dragon Slayers (1-0) stampede into the Marlborough Sports Center tonight for a late game against the 2-time defending champs Nordiques.

The Nordiques are going through a rebuilding phase, losing a few of their top free agents from last summer's championship team; including Dragon Slayers captain Andrew Jones. They have lost their first two games of this summer's campaign.

The Dragon Slayers meanwhile look to continue to gel as a team. After a 6-2 thumping of the Slush Puppies in the opener, they will face a defensively focused Nordiques team tonight.

The Dragon Slayers will get a injection of offense into the lineup tonight as forwards Michael Handley (Franklin, MA) and Bob Kaloustian (Marlborough, MA) will play their first games of the season.

Forwards Andrew Jones (3G) Cory Everett (2G) and Matty Arsenault (3A) look to continue their offensive onslaught tonight after their outburst in game one.
